TRIC-2024 aims to provide a platform for scholars to learn from the valuable experience of leading scientists from all over the world in various areas of Chemistry. The conference will include plenary talks, keynote addresses, invited talks and oral presentation. The conference will provide a platform for academicians, practitioners and students for academic conversations and scholarly dialogues. Twenty four keynote speakers will participate from United States, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Australia, Malaysia, Iran, Turkey, Bulgaria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, China and Pakistan. There will be parallel sessions in which around forty researchers will present their research vision and outcomes. Rapidly developing covid-19 pandemic led to organize the conference virtually. Derong Cao received BSc, MSc from Lanzhou University, and PhD from Lanzhou University / University of Mainz. He did postdoctoral research at the University of Mainz in Germany and Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in China. He currently is full professor in South China University of Technology (SCUT), Member of the Editorial Board of Nanomaterials. He has published more than 300 papers in journals, such as Chem. Soc. Rev., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., J. Mater. Chem. A. He is one of Elsevier Chinese Most Cited Researchers in Chemical Engineering in 2020-2024. He has won the Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Award.
Jean-Yves Winum received his PhD in chemistry from the University of Montpellier (France) in 1998. He then worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the Chemistry department of Georgetown University (Washington, DC) and of the University of Geneva (Switzerland). In 1999, he joined the University of Montpellier, where he is now Full Professor. His research interests are focused on organic/medicinal chemistry of metalloenzyme inhibitors with applications as anti-cancer or anti-infective agents. He published more than 200 articles (h-index 56; >10000 citations), 1 book and 14 book chapters in this field. He is ranked among the World’s top 2% most-cited scientists, since 2019. (Stanford University- Top 2% Scientist Rankings). He is an associate editor of Journal of Enzyme Inhibition and Medicinal Chemistry and a member of the editorial board of Expert Opinion on Therapeutic Patents, Expert Opinion on Drug Discovery, and Anti-Cancer Agents in Medicinal Chemistry.
Sébastien Clément obtained his PhD in the University of Franche-Comté (France) in 2006 under the supervision of Prof. Michael Knorr and Dr. Laurent Guyard. Then, he was post-doctoral fellow at the University of Sherbrooke (Canada) in the group of Prof. Pierre D. Harvey in 2007 and then, in 2008, at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and at the University of Mons (Belgium) under the joint supervision of Prof. Yves Geerts and Prof. Philippe Dubois, respectively. In 2009, he was appointed as assistant professor at the Charles Gerhardt Institute of Montpellier (ICGM). He was then promoted as Associate Professor in 2016 and Full Professor in 2018. His current research interests are the study of π-conjugated materials including conjugated polymers and aggregation-induced emission (AIE) fluorophores for applications ranging from biosensing and therapy to solar energy conversion.
Dr. Alia Hindi earned her Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry, specializing in electrospinning, from the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Aleppo, Syria, in August 2022. She also obtained a Diploma in Educational Qualification and Teaching Methods in 2010, adding a blend of academic and pedagogical expertise to her background. In 2021, she was awarded the Innovation and Invention Award in Damascus, Syria, for designing an electrospinning device and producing various polymeric nanofibers. Dr. Hindi currently lectures at the Faculty of Science and Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in University of Aleppo. Moreover, she serves as a reviewer for several international journals. She has published many scientific articles in prestigious global journals, contributing significantly to her field.
Dr. Subhi Hindi received his PhD in Rhetoric, Composition, and Pedagogy (English) from the University of Houston, Texas. He also received a master’s in Comparative Literature from the University of South Carolina. He’s currently an instructor of critical reading, writing, rhetoric, and research at the University of South Carolina. He had previously taught and researched college writing and rhetoric at the University of Houston, TX. He’s interested in and have been an advocate for utilizing classroom-oriented qualitative research to generate and subsequently analyze fresher, more immediate datasets of teachers’ pedagogical practices in college classrooms. He’s conducted qualitative research on my own classrooms in the area of code-meshing and translanguaging (the idea of using one’s language, dialect, or local discourse ways to enhance one’s rhetorical effectiveness). He’s currently part of pilot study on the use and pedagogical value of student conferences in First-Year Composition classes at the college level.
Collin G. Joseph is a Professional Chemist and an Associate Professor in the Industrial Chemistry Program of Universiti Malaysia Sabah, which he joined as an academician in 2003. He obtained his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nottingham, UK in 2011 and to-date he has received several Excellence and Service awards as well as research and innovation Gold Medals in MTE, ITEX and PEREKA research competitions. He is an accomplished researcher and author in the field of Adsorbent Technology, Sonophotochemistry and Ozone Chemistry research. In 2014, he established the Sonophotochemistry Research Group and has served as the Head of Sonophotochemistry Research Group ever since. He served as the Head of the Industrial Chemistry Programme from 2020 -2023 at the Faculty of Science and Natural Resources, Universiti Malaysia Sabah. Due to his outstanding accomplishments in the field of Chemistry, he has been invited by many Tier 1 journals to serve as a reviewer under various publishers such as Elsevier B.V, Springer and Taylor & Francis. He is also frequently invited as a speaker and keynote speaker at international conferences and as research collaborators with local and international universities. He sits on the Editorial board of the Malaysian Journal of Chemistry (ISSN: 2550-1658), as a Review Editor on the Editorial Board of Photocatalysis (Frontiers of Chemistry (ISSN: 2296-2646)) and serves as a Guest Editor for Catalysts (ISSN 2073-4344). His current (24-07-2024) Google Scholar h-index is 19 with 2512 citations. Due to his outstanding contributions to the Malaysian Institute of Chemistry, he was awarded Fellowship of the Malaysian Institute of Chemistry (highest award) in 2021. He is also a member of the American Chemical Society and Majlis Profesor Negara. He serves as a volunteer and committee member (Life-time member) with MERCY Malaysia and the UMS4WDVC, carrying out various community-based services in contribution to the state and people of Sabah, Malaysia.
Dr. Breno Pannia Esposito holds a bachelor's degree in Chemistry, as well as a master's and a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry, from the University of São Paulo. He completed a postdoctoral degree in iron metabolism at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel). He was a visiting professor at the University of Queensland (Australia, 2014), the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (United States, 2019-2020), the Federal University of Pernambuco (Brazil, 2022), the Institut de la Mer de Villefranche and the Centre Scientifique de Monaco (Monaco, 2023-2024). He is currently an associate professor at the University of São Paulo. He has experience in the area of Inorganic Chemistry, with an emphasis on Bioinorganic Chemistry, working mainly in chelation therapy, metal complexes in coral and zooxanthellae metabolism, and the development of metallodrugs.
Dr. Aman Ullah received his PhD (with distinction) in Chemical Sciences and Technologies in 2010 at the University of Genova, Italy by working together at Southern Methodist University, USA. He worked at different research institutes in Asia/Europe/US before accepting an Assistant Professor position at the University of Alberta. He is currently a full professor and director of lipids utilization labs at University of Alberta, Canada. Prof. Ullah has >130 publications with 9 patents/patent applications and has incorporated a new spinoff Biorefinery. His research is focused on the development of bioproducts, biopolymers/biomaterials from renewable biomass for various applications such as water treatment, food packaging, and targeted drug delivery. He has participated and presented his work in more than 100 National and international scientific meetings and conferences, including several invited, keynote and plenary lectures at conferences and research centres in Asia, Europe, Australia and America. He has supervised or co-supervised 90 highly qualified personnel (HQP) including undergraduate & graduate students, research associates/technicians and postdoctoral researchers. He served on 80 supervisory/examination committees and external examiner for >40 PhD theses. Prof. Ullah received 18 awards including Canadian Rising Star award by “Grand Challenges Canada”, Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences “Research and Innovation Award”, and ASTech Award winner for the “33rd ASTech Innovation Awards”
Khairuddin is a Professor at the Institute of Nano Electronic Engineering and Faculty of Electronics Engineering Technology. He received Doctor of Engineering Science from the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL), Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium in 2013. Prior to joining UniMAP in 2005, he had worked at Hewlett-Packard then Agilent Technologies (M) Sdn. Bhd, Penang, where he was the Product Engineer for the Motion Control Department, manufacturing various printers’ sensors. Later, he joined ON Semiconductor (M) Sdn. Bhd, Senawang, Malaysia, where he was involved in the development of Under-Bump-Metallurgy (UBM) for Flip-Chip Packaging, After that, for his doctorate study, he was involved in the characterization of silicon-on-insulator (SOI) ultra-thin body and thin buried oxide (UTBB) for advanced low power mobile transistor (22-nm technology) applications. His current research is related to Field-Effect device technology and biosensors. With his experience in semiconductor packaging, fabrication process, and device technology, gained at industry and academic, he has received various national and international grants, i.e. two Royal Society – Newton Ungku Omar mobility and PHC-Hibiscus grants. He is one of the founding members and currently Past-Chair/Advisor for IEEE Malaysia Section Sensors & Nanotechnology Joint Councils Chapter. He is also a Professional Engineer and serves as the Engineering Accreditation panel for the Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM) and Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).
Dr. Federico Tasca Federico Tasca completed his PhD studies in 2010 at Lund University under the supervision of Professor Lo Gorton and working with bioelectronics and carbon nanomaterials. He continued his postdoctoral studies at the Department of Chemistry at Stanford University where he studied the behavior of multicopper oxidases and he focused on the oxygen reduction reaction. Dr. Federico Tasca is now an associate professor at the Department of Material Chemistry of the University of Santiago of Chile. He is the director of Fondecyt, Corfu, and Dicyt Grants. He has published more than 60 papers in reputed journals in the fields of electrochemistry, electrocatalysis, bioelectrocatalysis, fuel cells, water electrolysis, and coordination chemistry. Dr. Tasca is the owner of 4 patents and has supervised more than 30 undergraduate students and several post-graduates.
Prof. Dr. Ioannis P. Gerothanassis is at the Department of Chemistry, University of Ioannina, Greece and he is also Adjunct Professor at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi. His current research interests include NMR Spectroscopy as applied to Bioorganic Chemistry, Natural Products, Analytical Chemistry, and Structural Biology. He received MSc (1979), PhD (1981) and DSc (2011) from the University of East Anglia, UK. He has over 187 publications in international journals, and over 7754 citations in the international literature. He is also included within the top 2% of scientists of their main subfield discipline (Stanford University, https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pbio.3000918. I studied chemistry at Vienna University where I obtained my PhD in 2009. During my PhD I studied biology in addition before I went on to do a postdoc at Stanford University and ETH Zurich. In 2014 I started my own group at Groningen University at the University Medical Center Groningen. Her I am leading a research group which is developing nanoscale MRI techniques which allow nanoscale sensing in living cells. In the past years I have been awarded several grants and awards including a European ERC starting grant and its Dutch equivalent the VIDI.
Nasir Mahmood is a Vice-Chancellor Senior Research Fellow at RMIT University, obtained his PhD from Peking University in 2015. His research interest involves the development of advanced materials for a sustainable society. He is one of the highly cited researchers by Clarivate and among the list of Best Materials Scientists and Chemists by Research.com in the World. He has an excellent track record in publishing high-quality publications >175 with citations >15,600 and an H-index of 62 as well as holds 8 patents/applications and author of 10 books/book chapters, commercialization, attracting research funding and media attention, managing editorial responsibilities and organizing conferences. His research has been highlighted in more than 1000 media blogs, magazines, television, and radio in many different languages across the world, reaching over a two billion people. He has been awarded several prestigious awards including the Beijing Science and Technology Award 2018, RMIT Vice-Chancellor Postdoctoral Fellowship (2019-2022), RMIT Vice-Chancellor Senior Research Fellowship (2022-2026) and 2023 GAMECHANGER Australian by Advance Australia and Finalist for Global Talent Award 2023.
Highly Cited Researcher and top 1% author in Environmental Science and Ecology; Chemistry and Engineering, Yasin Orooji comes from a family of scholars. With expertise in designing/synthesizing/developing novel multifunctional nanocomposite materials to be used in separation; catalysis & sensing, he was awarded the Best Inventor title in 2014 by the Ministry of Science. Later, he was invited to join Professor Wanqin Jin's Research Group in 2015. In 2018, he joined the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Nanjing Forestry University as an associate professor and as the rising star of the Asian Materials Chemical Engineering community, he soon after was promoted to full Professor in 2020. Currently, he is serving as a Distinguished Professor at Zhejiang Normal University and has been listed among the Stanford-Elsevier top 2% scientists since 2021. Since 2017, he has published 190 SCI papers (43 ESI top papers, including 1 hot papers) and 10 patents, one of which is the best national patent award. He has about 1180 hours of teaching experience and more than 5000 hours of tutoring student research projects. Since 2012, he has had industrial experiences with DHP Engineering, A.O. Smith and Alfa Laval. He cumulatively participated in more than 69.3 million yuan of research and industrial projects, making him a unique researcher to expand top research work to industrial products. His goal is to bridge the gap between universities and industries following the concept of Honeywell, Tesla Inc. and Lockheed Martin Corporation.
Dr. Tariq Mahmood has wide range of experience in the field of Organic Chemistry, Materials Chemistry, Computational Chemistry and Natural Product Chemistry. Has supervised 08 PhD and 30 MS students. He is principal investigator of many research projects. Dr Tariq has published more than 140 research articles in the international peer reviewed scientific journals. His H-index is 24. He is the active member of many scientific societies and acts as reviewer of high impact journals.
Dr Khurram Joya is Associate Professor of Chemical Sciecne, an Active Researcher, Teacher, Scientist, Innovator, Education Entrepreneur, Mentor, Speaker, Research-Coach, Overseas Scholarships-Expert, Career Counselor, Trainer and a Traveler. Dr. Jamil Anwar was born in 1951 at Gujrat (Pakistan). In 1972, he got his M.Sc. in Chemistry, with distinction, from University of the Punjab and was taken on the faculty of Institute of Chemistry in 1973. He proceeded to Aberdeen University, Scotland, in 1979 on Pakistan Government Scholarship and completed his Ph.D. in 1982. He came back to Pakistan after completing his higher studies and resumed his duties as assistant professor. In 1989 he proceeded to University of Florida, USA, for his post-doctoral research and worked on laser spectroscopy with renowned Professor J.W. Winefordner. In 1995, Dr. Jamil became full professor at the University of the Punjab. He became Director of the Institute in 2002 and after couple of years he was appointed Dean, Faculty of Science of the University. In 2008, he occupied the chair of Pro-Vice Chancellor of Punjab University till his retirement in 2011. After retiring from Punjab University, he was appointed as the founder Vice Chancellor of Lahore Garrison University, Lahore. After serving five years as Vice Chancellor, he came back to his Alma Mater and served there for couple of years. He served COMSATS University, Lahore campus as Advisor for a year and then he joined University of Management and Technology, Lahore in Oct. 2019. Presently he is Professor Emeritus in University of Punjab as well as working as Distinguished Professor at UMT (University of Management and Technology) Lahore. Dr. Jamil Anwar has 50 years’ experience of teaching, research and administration. As a researcher he published more than 240 research papers in journals of international repute and high impact factor. He is author of 15 books and a number of articles in international magazines. He supervised 22 Ph.Ds, 110 M.Phil and 238 M.Sc. students in his carrier. He has been awarded Life Achievement Award and best teacher award from Higher Education Commission, Islamabad. He had been a member of Nobel Prize Nomination Committee for several years. King Faisal Award Committee has invited Dr. Anwar two times as Jewry Member to Saudi Arabia. He is a fellow of Chemical Society of Pakistan, Pakistan Institute of Chemists and member of so many other academic bodies. He has served as a member of BOG and Syndicate of more than twelve universities in the country. He is still active in teaching and research.
Prof. Muhammad Raza Shah is a Professor at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) - leading a research group of Supramolecular Chemistry and Nanochemistry. Furthermore, he is the general manager of the Center for Bioequivalence and Clinical Research (CBSCR). Prof. Shah completed his doctoral research in 2003 under a sandwich program at Max-Planck Research Institute for Polymer Mainz, Germany and HEJ followed by Post-Doctoral research at the University of Geneva, Switzerland. Among the many awards, he received the Civil Award (Tamgha-i-Imtiaz) by the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in 2015. Prof. Shah has over 380 research publications, authored three books; edited two books and seven chapters. In addition, he has two US patents to his credit. His current research interests revolve around the synthesis of artificial drug delivery systems based on the principles of synthetic supramolecular chemistry, the exploitation of the orientation of various rings like porphyrins, calix[n]arenes and cyclodextrins to form receptors; functionalization of metal-based nanoparticles. Some of the awards and distinctions received by Prof. Muhammad Raza Shah include: Dr. M. Raziuddin Siddiqi Prize (2015) by Pakistan Academy of Sciences, Avicenna Science & Innovation Award (2015) by Brain Trust UK and Abdus Salam Award in chemistry (2006) for young scientist. His authored book was declared best book in 2017 by the HEC. He was also declared top scientist for the year 2019 by government of KPK. Prof. Shah has also won 10 research grants as a principal investigator including six million PKR grants from the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan along with a 10,000 USD grant sponsored by COMSTECH-ISESCO. In addition, he was awarded a grant worth of 8600 USD by International Foundation for Science; a grant worth of 21424$ by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. Furthermore, Prof. Muhammad Raza Shah holds memberships in various institutes such as Member of Max-Planck Research School for Material Sciences. Prof. Shah is a fellow of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry, the Chemical Society of Pakistan and Pakistan Academy of Sciences. Furthermore, he is an editor of the Journal of the Chemical Society of Pakistan.
Irshad Hussain is a tenured Professor and the Chair of the Department of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, SBA School of Science & Engineering (SSE), LUMS, Pakistan. He is among the founding faculty members of SBASSE, and the founding Chair of Chemistry Department at LUMS. He is also the founding Project Director of Nanobiotech group at National Institute for Biotechnology & Genetic Engineering, Faisalabad, and has led several National forums on Nanotechnology in Pakistan. Currently, he leads Functional Nanomaterials group at LUMS that focuses on tuning the size and surface chemistry of nanomaterials for applications in renewable energy technologies, catalysis, biomedical and environmental sciences and has published over 170 research/review articles in highly prestigious journals in the field including Nature Materials, Nature Communications, Science Advances, JACS, Advanced Materials, Advanced Science, Angewandte Chemie Int. Ed., Chemical Society Reviews and Small etc. He has served as the Chair of National Nanotech Experts Panel at Pakistan Council for Science & Technology in 2015 and has been the member and Chair of the National Core Groups of Chemistry and Nanotechnology, respectively, formed by the PM Task Force on Science & Technology during 2019-2022. He is also the recipient of 02 Gold Medals in Chemistry by Pakistan Academy of Sciences (PAS) in 2007 (Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman Gold Medal) & 2014 (PAS Gold Medal). Dr. Hussain is now a Fellow of the Pakistan Academy of Sciences, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), UK, and a Fellow of International Engineering and Technology Institute (IETI). He has recently also been named as a “PIFI Distinguished Scientist” by the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh has over 23 years of professional, teaching and research experience and is currently working as Professor of Chemistry and Director Post Graduate Programs of Faculty of Science and Technology at University of Central Punjab, Lahore. He is the Member of National Standards Committee and Chairman Technical Committee on Nanotechnology at PSQCA-Government of Pakistan, Member of Technical Committee ISO/TC 229 Nanotechnologies of International Organization for Standardization (ISO), Switzerland. He has been duly awarded three gold medals for his outstanding academic performance in Chemistry and five gold medals including one from the Minister HED and Governor of the Punjab for his excellent performance in research and service to society. Dr. Tanveer Hussain Bokhari holds PhD degree in Chemistry from GC University, Lahore after awarding Indigenous Scholarship for PhD by Higher Education Commission Islamabad. He did his post-doctoral studies at BYU, USA. He published 160 research papers at international and national level in well reputed journals and is author of two books. Currently he is serving as Professor of chemistry at Department of Chemistry, Government College University Faisalabad, where he was awarded Research Productivity Award for year of 2011 and 2012 by Pakistan Council for Science and Technology, Islamabad-Pakistan.
Dr. Chatha received his MSc, MPhil and PhD degrees in Analytical Chemistry from University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Pakistan, in 2004, 2006 and 2011, respectively. He was awarded University Merit Scholarship during his postgraduate study at University of Agriculture Faisalabad-Pakistan. In 2006, he joined Government College University Faisalabad, Pakistan, as a lecturer and he was promoted to assistant professor in 2011. Prof. Dr. Shazia Anjum is the Professor of the Chemistry Department and the Dean Faculty of Chemical and Biological Sciences, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan. She is experienced medicinal and natural product chemist. She has authored and co-authored more than 143 research papers (Impact Factor: 365), a US patent, has edited 13 books and has published 03 chapters in international books. Prof. Dr. Shahzad Maqsood Khan (Director, institute of Polymer and Textile Engineering University of the Punjab Lahore Pakistan) line of research attempts to integrate the study of Polymer synthesis, characterization and study of their plants and production aspects according to industrial requirements. Research concentrates mainly on composites, coatings, biomedical and recycling of polymer and textile based materials. He is well experienced in production plants, experimental methods and procedures, analytical techniques and characterization instruments handling. Dr. Khan has been serving the institute since day one and played a pivotal role in the completion of all establishment projects. He approximately 91 publications with Impact Factor of more than 330, attended more than 95 conferences presenting posters and lectures, supervised 55 M.Phil and 11 Ph.D students and completed 40 national and international trainings.
Dr. Muhammad Naveed Zafar is Professor of Inorganic Chemistry with specialization in Catalysis at Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. He is serving in academia with more than fifteen years of professional/research experience. He got distinctions throughout his carrier notably; BSc (First Position), MSc (First Position), MPhil (First Position) and PhD (Doctoral Award). He got his PhD from The University of Auckland, New Zealand and Post Doctorate from The University of Edinburgh. He has published a total of 77 research articles, out of which 75 are in W-category (HEC recognized) journals with impact factor ˃ 300 (H-index = 29, i10-index= 57, Citation 2031). These include numerous articles in Q1 category like Inorganic Chemistry (JACS) and Dalton Transactions (RSC, Front and Back Cover). Dr Khurshid Ayub is currently working as an Associate Professor at the department of chemistry, COMSATS University Abbottabad Campus. He did his PhD from the University of Victoria (Canada) in 2008 under the supervision of Prof Dr Reg Mitchell. He Remained a post doctoral fellow in the labs of Prof Dr Bob Lemieux at Queen’s University (Canada) from January 2009- October 2010. Dr Khurshid joined COMSATS in 2010. He is a well known computational chemist and his research covers different topics in computational chemistry including catalysis, nonlinear optics, sensors, photoswitches etc. He has published over 290 research articles in well reputed international scientific journals with cumulative impact factor of more than 1000. Citations of his research articles are more than 5300. His h-index and i10 index are 40 and 160 respectively. He has supervised 13 PhD students as supervisor and co-supervisor and over 50 MS/MPhil students
Dr. Muhammad Nadeem Zafar attained his PhD degree in Analytical Chemistry from Lund University Sweden in 2011. Currently, he is working as Tenured Associate Professor in Department of Chemistry, University of Gujrat, Gujrat, Pakistan. He was a post-doc fellow at State Key Laboratory of Electroanalytical Chemistry, Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Jilin, China from 2017 to 2018 under CAS-PIFI. Recently He has joined as Visiting Associate Professor at State Key Laboratory of Electroanalytical Chemistry, Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Jilin, China under CAS-PIFI. He has been working on various aspects on the use of enzymes in analytical chemistry/bioelectrochemistry and electron transfer between redox enzymes/osmium polymers and electrodes. His research interests are development of enzymes-based biosensors and biofuel cells, synthesis of metal nanoparticles, and nanocomposites, pollutants removal through photocatalysis and adsorption, applications of metal nanoparticles and nanocomposites in energy/water-splitting and biological activities. In total, He is author of more than 100 publications on international peer-reviewed journals, which received more than 4350 citations, with H-index of 38 and having cumulative impact factor around 520. In addition, he participated at various national and international conferences as invited, keynote as well as plenary speaker.
Dr. Dure Najaf Iqbal completed the doctorate in chemistry with distinction at the Lahore college for women university, Lahore in 2014. She is currently working as an associate professor of chemistry in department of chemistry, university of Lahore. She has worked as an assistant professor (IPFP) at the Department of Polymer Engineering and Technology, University of the Punjab, Lahore from 2014 to 2015. Dr Dure was fortune enough to avail HEC Scholarship under Indigenous scholarship scheme Batch-IV and International research support initiative program for six months in University of Bristol under IRSIP. She worked with Prof. Christine Wills at university of Bristol and received training and hands-on operation on different instruments related to my field like SEM, NMR, FTIR She has contributed to several national and international publications and conferences with impact factor 100+. Her current research interests are organic synthesis, polymer chemistry, FR polymers and hydrogels. She has supervised 45 MPhil students. And five PhD students are working under her supervision.
Dr Muhammad Imran Malik is an Associate Professor at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences, University of Karachi. Dr Malik graduated from Karl-Franzens-Universitäte Graz, Austria in polymer chemistry in 2009. Later, he worked as a postdoctoral research scientist at the University of Stellenbosch South Africa (2010-2011) and POSTECH South Korea (2015). In 2012, Dr Malik joined the International Center of Chemical and Biological Sciences, University of Karachi as an Assistant Professor. The major research interest of Dr Malik is the synthesis of novel polymeric architecture and the development of comprehensive analytical methods for polymers. His research interests extend to polymer-stabilized nanoparticles and their applications, such as sensors, drug delivery, molecularly imprinted polymers, and organic solar cells. Dr Malik has authored/co-authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, eight chapters in edited books, two authored books, and three edited books published by Elsevier and Springer Nature. Dr Malik has also one US patent to his credit and filed more than 6 Pakistan patents. Dr Malik supervised around 30 PhD/MPhil research students, and won numerous research grants ~ Rs. 20 million, etc. Dr Malik is on the editorial board of a couple of prestigious journals and has been a reviewer of more than 60 scientific journals (all major publishers) and numerous funding agencies. He has earned several national awards such as research productivity awards from Pakistan Council of Science and Technology (2015, 2017) and “Nishan-e-Zafar” from university of Karachi, etc. Dr Malik has just completed his tenure as an Associate Professor and is due to be promoted to the position of Full Professor.

Currently serving as the Head of the Chemistry Department (Associate professor) and ORIC and CENTIN (Business Incubation Center) at the University of Management and Technology (UMT), Sialkot Campus, Pakistan. With a diverse professional background, Dr. Hammad has extensive industry experience in the textile, sugar, paints, paper, construction, biotechnology, and food sectors, with expertise in production, quality control, intelligent manufacturing, industrial automation technologies, circular economy and industrial revolution 6. He works as an industrial consultant (Brilliant Eco International) for national and international collaborators, bridging industry and academia. Dr. Muhammad Saleem completed his PhD Chemistry from HEJ, RIC, ICCBS, University of Karachi. He has more than 14 years of research and teaching experience in public sector Universities. His research work is focused on enzyme inhibitors. Published More than 36 research articles both national and internal with cumulative impact factor of 80 in the field of bioorganic and medicinal chemistry. Produced 16 M.Phil. He is IUPAC Affiliate since 2014 and member of reviewer committee of Punjab Textbook Board Lahore, Pakistan. Dr Bhatti has completed 2 research project funded by Higher education commission Pakistan and ORIC GC University Lahore. His research focus is on Synthesis, Characterization, and biological studies of various metal complexes with special emphases on Schiff bases ligands. Dr Muhammad Pervaiz Bhatti has published more than 90 articles including research and review articles in international Journals. He has edited 2 international books on metal organic framework. Coordination chemistry plays a crucial role in the field of carbon dioxide (CO2) capture and conversion to valuable products. CO2 capture and conversion are essential strategies for mitigating greenhouse gas emissions and addressing climate change while simultaneously creating a sustainable pathway for utilizing CO2 as a valuable resource. Coordination chemistry, which studies the interactions of metal ions with ligands, is instrumental in designing and optimizing catalysts for CO2 capture, activation, and conversion processes.
Dr. Umer Younas earned his MSc in Chemistry from The Islamia University of Bahawalpur in 2008 with distinction. He received Gold Medal from the Prime Minister of Pakistan for his first position in M.Sc. Dr. Umer completed his doctoral studies from the University of Sargodha in Analytical Chemistry. He completed a research project titled "Antioxidant Activity Evaluation and Bioavailability Enhancement of Bioactive Components from Selected Medicinal Plants". Dr. Umer is working as Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry, The University of Lahore. Till now, he has published 85 research articles in different journals of international repute having accumulative impact factor ≈ 350, citation > 1500, and h-index = 21 and i10-index = 35. Dr. Hasnain earned his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from East China University of Science and Technology, Shanghai (2013). During his doctoral dissertation he mainly focused on polymer chemistry and porphyrin-fullerene nano-composites to explore their self-assembly behavior. Later, he did his postdoc from Chinese Academy of Sciences, China working in the field of materials synthesis for DNA damage studies. Main themes of his current research are Synthesis and characterization of metal nanoparticles, carbon nanomaterials, conducting polymers and their composites for their applications as probe materials. He has completed several research projects in his research domain funded by COMSATS and Higher Education Commission, Pakistan. He has published several high impact research articles in internationally recognized journals including, Biosensors and Bioelectronics, Sensors and Actuators B, ACS Applied Nanomaterials, Carbon, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Communications, Chemosphere, Analytical Chimica Acta, Microchimica Acta, Coordination Chemistry Reviews etc.
Dr. Sajjad Hussain Sumrra received his doctoral degree in Inorganic Chemistry from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan in 2013 with six months of research experience at the Department of Chemistry, University of Manchester, UK. After that, he started his career as an Assistant Professor (TTS) at the Department of Chemistry, University of Gujrat (UOG), Gujrat, Pakistan and is now a tenured Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Chemistry. He is teaching several courses of inorganic chemistry to BS/M.Sc/MPhil/PhD at the basic and advanced levels. Additionally, he is also supervising MPhil and PhD research scholars. His research interests include bioinorganic chemistry, metal-based drugs and material chemistry. His work is focused on driving innovation in antibiotic resistance, concentrating on research and strategies that can help advance antibiotic discovery and development. To his credit, he has produced 109 international research articles with more than 3200 citations (hindex=37) and a total impact factor of 340.4. Moreover, he has also published international book chapters. He is the potential reviewer of many international journals and works as the guest associate editor of Frontiers in Chemistry: Supramolecular Chemistry. Based on his research, he has also completed two Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan research projects worth Rs.6 million as principal investigator. Last year, he was awarded the Post Doctoral Fellowship Program by HEC, Pakistan. He is the convener and member of several committees for academic and administrative tasks. For the future, he is scheming on advanced applied research to serve the community based on his research capacity and through established collaboration with national and international research groups and research scientists.
Dr Mudassir Iqbal is working as professor at Department of chemistry, School of natural sciences, National University of Science and Technology (NUST). He secured his PhD degree from a University of Twente, The Netherlands in 2012 and completed one year post doc fellowship from university of Fribourg Switzerland. He is working in a variety of Areas like nuclear waste processing, Ionic liquids, drugs, hydrogels/biopolymers, and functional nanomaterials for applications in Energy, Environment, Biomedical and Agriculture Sector. Prof. Mudassir has published around 135 Journal publications, and several Conference proceedings. He has a cumulative impact factor of above 500 and has been cited more than 3000 times. He has supervised 5 PHDs and more than 40 MS students, and 12 PhD are a currently under his supervision. He has also secured Several grants in different research areas.
Dr Muhammad Adil Mansoor is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Research, School of Natural Sciences, National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, Pakistan. Dr Mansoor was awarded a Master of Science in Inorganic/Materials Chemistry (2008) and a Master of Philosophy in 2010 in the same domain. Then he did his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Materials Chemistry (2015) from the University of Malaya (QS Ranked #57) Kuala Lumpur. After PhD he did two post- doctorates, one in Physics and the other in the Department of Mechanical Engineering UM. He is serving in NUST for the last six years. Dr Mansoor has over 13 years of experience in the field of fabrication of thin films via aerosol-assisted chemical Vapour deposition (AACVD) and has produced more than 60 well-reputed research articles with an impact factor of 260. He has won two Research grants worth 12.4 M PKR from HEC Pakistan and one PSF research grant worth 4.45M PKR.
Dr Muhammad Kashif Majeed obtained his PhD degree from Shandong University. Later, I joined the Chinese Academy of Science, China for his first post-doctorate. Then I moved to The University of Texas at Arlington U.S for second post Doctorate followed by Research Associate/Lecturer at The University of Texas at Dallas, U.S. Afterwards, I joined as an Assistant Professor Department of Chemistry, School of Natural Science (SNS), National University of Science and Technology (NUST) Islamabad. Dr Kashif's research involves the synthesis and characterization of advanced electrode materials for batteries, in situ and ex-situ degradation mechanisms of electrode materials of energy storage materials and catalytic materials with controlled shape and size for hydrocarbon conversion and environmental catalysis.
Dr Khalil Ahmad completed his MSc, MPhil and PhD from Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Punjab, Pakistan under the supervision of Prof. Dr Muhammad Ashfaq. He has more than seven years teaching experience at 4 different universities at Islamia University Bahawalpur, and Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Bahawalpur, University of Central Punjab and University of Management and Technology Sialkot campus. Currently, He is working as Assistant Professor in Chemistry at Emerson University Multan Pakistan. He also obtained the best researcher award in UMT for 2022 and 2023. Currently he is supervising two PhD and 12 MS students. In MPhil, He synthesized amino acids and their metal complexes for biological activities (Anti-viral, antibacterial and antifungal). His PhD research area is “Synthesis of MOFs and their Composites for Purification of Water”. He is cementic researcher and published more than 46 articles in International Peer Reviewed Journals and has Impact Factor more than 170.
AP Ts. Dr. Sachin Sharma Ashok Kumar is a material scientists experienced in the development of graphene and graphene oxide nanomaterials incorporated with reinforced composites, supercapattery, batteries, solar cells, fuel cells, hydrogen storage, polymer nanocomposites, corrosion coatings and 3D composites for numerous engineering applications. He received both of his BSc. degree (Hons.) and MSc. (Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering minor in Materials Science from Wichita State University, USA in year 2011 and 2012, respectively. He received his Ph.D in Advanced Materials Science Engineering in University of Malaya in 2023. His current research involves the synthesis of super-hydrophobic graphene based polymer nanocomposite coatings to enhance corrosion resistance. He has published numerous articles in high ranked journals, participated in international conferences/exhibitions as a keynote speaker and has received several excellence awards at international levels. He is currently a member registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT).
